oil on a wooden panel 30x30cm.
By the Way
A pale expanse opens to a burst of warmth—orange, gold, and flickers of violet—like sunlight catching the edge of a slope. Jagged marks and scribbled lines suggest motion, friction, the restless energy beneath stillness. Gold leaf glints across the surface, scattered like memory or dust. Near the edge, a fragment of text emerges: part-visible, part-lost. This is a painting of contrast—calm and chaos, surface and depth, the granular texture of time held in light.
I use oil pastels, oil sticks, markers, scrapers, charcoal, and pigment sticks, as well as newspaper and graphite, to make marks that fit the moment.
UV protected, signed on the back. The work is on a plywood panel and is ready to hang. No further framing is needed.
