Rimed and Circled by a Silver Thread
A gradient of deep grey into green evokes the quiet weight of weather—mist settling over the hills, light dimming toward dusk. Thin silver lines arc and drift across the canvas, like paths traced in air or the memory of movement. One curves inward, encircling space with a gesture both delicate and deliberate. The painting holds a sense of enclosure and release, of something held lightly within. A moment rimed with silence, threaded with light.
For lo! the New-moon winter-bright!
And overspread with phantom light,
(With swimming phantom light o'erspread
But rimmed and circled by a silver thread) STC
I use oil pastels, oil sticks, markers, scrapers, charcoal, pigment sticks, newspaper, and graphite to make mark,s whichever fits the moment.
UV protected, signed on the back. The work is on a plywood panel and is ready to hang. No further framing is needed.
