Song the Wind Sings on the Tors
A layered meditation on exposure and shelter, Song the Wind Sings on the Tors conjures the elemental voice of high moorland. Earthy reds and ochres anchor the lower half like ancient rock, while pale blues and creams drift above, evoking sky, breath, and distance. The textures suggest erosion and memory—marks left by wind, time, and quiet persistence. There’s a sense of listening here: to silence, to movement, to the stories carried across open land. It’s a painting that holds space for solitude and resonance, like standing on a tor and hearing something just beyond language.
"This Moor-language sings sweeter in my ear than all the songs I ever heard from angels," taken from Merrivale T Hirons
